Oat Roti/Flat bread


Usually, roti is a part of our daily life. In Trinidad, we use it with a cooked vegetable and have that for breakfast or dinner.


As you guys know, I'm a Dietitian Nutritionist and therefore I'm all about promoting healthy habits and eating clean! This recipe can always be altered to suit YOU!


My aim is to promote healthy lifestyle changes! This will improve the quality of your life for long term results!

Oats benefits:

> High dietary fibre

> Can reduce cholesterol levels

> May reduce blood sugar spikes

> Can assist with weight loss

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats

  • 1 tsp. baking powder

  • 1/4 cup water

Method:

Blend oats. Mix all ingredients together. Roll everything in a ball and then flatten and roll out using a belna.


In a non-stick pan, on low heat, add a little oil (optional) and cook on both sides. Enjoy when cooled. I had it with peanut butter! It was delicious!
